The Old course at Ferndown Golf Club is set out across a sandy outcrop of land where there is an abundance of heather and pines which makes it a very pretty golf course. However don't let its beauty deceive you, as this is a tricky course unless you manage to keep your ball in play with very accurate shots throughout the whole round.
Although the course is considered to be relatively short at 6,500 yards, there are many hazards for you to contend with during a round here with the abundance of heather and pine which is lying in wait for errant shots. There are also many bunkers which are very well designed and are strategically placed to cause the most damage to your score.
There is a great driving range where you can practice a few shots before you tackle the Old Course, and after your round, do make sure that you take time to relax in the clubhouse where there is a super bar and restaurant.
