Designed by American architect Ron Garl of Garl Nix Golf Course Design, The RG City Golf Club – Dream Arena is recognised as Asia’s first replica-style course.
The 18-hole championship layout features holes inspired by well-known designs from around the world, brought together within a single site. The concept focuses on delivering recognisable championship-style experiences rather than following a conventional parkland format.
The site was reshaped from flat farmland to introduce elevation changes that are uncommon in the Bangkok area. Water hazards, shaped bunkers and raised teeing areas influence strategy across the course. While the layout provides a strong test from the back tees, multiple tee options make it accessible to a range of handicaps.
The wider Royal Gems Golf City development was conceived over more than 15 years, with the ambition of creating a large-scale golf destination.
The clubhouse and surrounding areas were designed with environmental considerations in mind, including generous green space and modern infrastructure.
