Somabay Golf Club – Hidden Coves Course

Somabay Hidden Coves is a new championship layout designed by Lobb & Partners, carefully routed to follow the natural contours of the land.

The course has an open, flowing feel, with a layout that builds from inland desert terrain towards more dramatic coastal holes as the round progresses.

Wide fairways, minimal rough and receptive greens keep the course accessible for golfers of all abilities, while strategic bunkering and subtle green contours add interest throughout.

It’s designed to be enjoyable and repeatable, making it well-suited to a golf holiday setting.

The scenery develops nicely across the round. Earlier holes are more sheltered within the desert landscape, before the layout opens out towards the Red Sea, with several holes on the back nine offering more expansive coastal views.

Hidden Coves has also been designed with sustainability in mind, using minimal earth movement and paspalum turf suited to the coastal climate, helping maintain consistent playing conditions year-round.

It’s worth noting that the course is being introduced in phases. The front nine opened in late 2025, with the full 18-hole championship layout expected by late 2026 or early 2027.

Alongside the nearby Somabay Gary Player course, Hidden Coves gives golfers two contrasting and highly enjoyable golf options within the same resort.
