Arabian Ranches Golf Club
The design concept for this golf course was to build a true desert style course similar to those found in Palm Springs, California and Scottsdale, Arizona in this beautiful desert setting. The design brief was to extend and elongate the routing throughout the desert as much as possible, creating a stunning oasis effect throughout the Arabian Ranches property. It is fair to say this aim has been successfully completed; this course provides a truly magnificent golfing experience.
This links is an 18 hole par 72 signature course designed by Ian Baker Finch to be a desert-style grass course that players are sure to love. The natural flow of this course is a particularly noticeable and desirable feature; the holes were constructed weaving in and out of sand dunes and the contoured desert landscape. To improve the fluidity of this course, in 2014 a two year development program was finished. Many of the holes incorporate some of the truly great design concepts throughout the history of golf course architecture. The front nine/back nine loops back to the clubhouse which also makes for an ideal tournament course and setup. Designer Ian Baker Finch had this to say about the course: "I have played many of the top courses around the world during my travels and the truly great ones continue to entice me back year after year. I believe that Arabian Ranches Golf Club at Arabian Ranches will excite you and continue to entice you back as well".

At an impressive length of 7,658 yards, this course provides a true test golfers. The differing distances of tees offers a complex challenge, yet players are sure to be rewarded with an accurate shot. The par 5 3rd hole is particularly prominent hole due to the impact the wind has on its game play. Although the hole can supposedly be completed with two big hits, when the wind is incorporated however this hole becomes a challenge. The second shot is made difficult due to the placement of the desert across the fairway. The hole approach is contoured slightly uphill into a narrow green set into a large sand dune. This hole is certainly a true risk-reward shot, and is very fun to play.
The elegant Spanish Colonial Clubhouse features the Ranches Restaurant and Terrace which offers breath-taking views of the course over the 9th and 18th greens. It makes the perfect setting to unwind from a leisurely game of golf. Furthermore, the club house also features a pro shop where players can purchase all necessary equipment, clothing and accessories. The golf academy at the Arabian Ranches Golf Club offers lessons to players from experienced and dedicated PGA professionals.
