Brabantse Golf Club
Brabantse Golf, conveniently, located just North of Belgiums vibrant capital, was designed in 1982 and became the first Flemish Golf Club. The prestigious clubhouse, a former castle, is the landmark of this astounding club and sets the tone for a historic round in Belgium.
This parkland course, which stretches out to 6374 yards, is not the longest of courses, especially compared to more modern layouts, however, the long hitters will enjoy the towering trees lining the course, proving to be most daunting as you glance from the tee.
The initial holes are filled with water hazards, whilst the back nine flows through the park area of the castle, where the tree lined fairways will capture any wayward shot, whilst creating a pleasant background. The 16th and 17th play through the orchard offering two stunning penultimate holes and a great way to finish your round.
The layout is of relatively flat design, compared the parkland courses in Brussels, however the strategy of the holes and the sheer precision needed from your drive, incorporate more than enough challenge to satisfy golfers of all handicaps.
The driving range offers a great chance to practice your swing and consistency before playing the full 18. The club house is a superb venue to enjoy a drink or two whilst watching golfers make their final approach on the 18th.
Brabantse Golf is a splendid Flemish Golf Club oozing international character and an excellent choice for your Belgium golf escape.
