The Carya Golf Club is widely regarded as one of the finest golf courses in Belek. This outstanding 18-hole golf course was the first ever classic heathland golf course built in Turkey, setting a precedence for the creation of some fantastic golf courses. For an unforgettable round of golf and a demanding test of skill, the Carya Golf Club is an unbeatable option.
The Carya Golf Club’s championship golf course was designed by golfing champion Peter Thomson. He designed this fantastic golf course to be reminiscent of the golf courses set in the Surrey hills that have been appreciated for years by many. The popularity of this golf course has been made clear as the demand has resulted in the golf club installing a full floodlight system, enabling golfers to play this fantastic golf course even at night time. Despite only opening in 2008, the Carya Golf Club has already established itself as one of the best golf courses in the region, setting the new standard of golf in Belek.
Golfers should arrive at the Carya Golf Club armed with their ‘A-game’, as it is fair to say that it demands a true test of golf. It spans across an impressive 7,186 yards of stunning landscape, dotted with pine and eucalyptus trees. The holes across the course are somewhat disjointed compared to most of the typical golf courses in Belek, as they run in a ‘free-flowing’ style across a sand ridge. Whilst the Carya Golf Club undeniably is a challenging golf course, due to a range of tee-off options, it can be enjoyed by players of all abilities.

In the design of this golf course, Peter Thomson was determined to maintain the original ‘nature feel’ of the original landscape to replicate similar characteristics to that of classic English heathland golf courses in Surrey. Consequently, nearly one million heather plants were planted to create a true heathland golf course. With a stunning landscape and a stern test of golf, it comes as no surprise that the Carya Golf Club has been awarded one of the “Top 100 Golf Clubs in the Word”.
A signature hole at the Carya Golf Club includes the par-72 6th hole. This hole is the longest in all of Turkey, measuring to an impressive 621 yards. Providing golfers can hit their shot long and straight, they should be able to avoid most of the hazards at this hole.
