About Cabot Bordeaux - Chateaux Course
Cabot Bordeaux – Les Châteaux Course is the big sister of the two courses at Cabot Bordeaux and very much the resort’s headline round.
It is widely regarded as one of the best courses in France, with past awards including France’s Best Golf Course at the World Golf Awards in 2014 and 2016.
Designed by American architect Bill Coore in 1989, this par-71 course stretches across more than 6,900 yards of Médoc countryside.
The layout has a traditional links-inspired feel, with generous fairways, heather-lined holes, natural rough and the breeze often adding a little extra challenge.
This is not a course that needs to feel intimidating, but it does reward sensible play. The fairways give you room, while the rough, bunkering and greens make sure you still have to think your way round. Bring a few spare balls, keep it tidy from the tee, and Les Châteaux becomes a really enjoyable and memorable holiday round.
