The course has created unique and diverse challenges that demand the very best of a golfers ability, in utilising their power, strategical play and shot accuracy. Cruden Bay is set on an incredible landscape providing contoured fairways with panoramic views of the coastline, the nearby Slains Castle and surrounding area.

The design of Cruden Bay is a magnificent links track incorporating traditional humps and undulations, as well as a number of blind shots, making it a difficult course to master and one to play at least twice. Not the longest of courses by modern standards, Cruden Bay enjoys a rugged landscape, combined with a consisted breeze to make it a testing round of links golf.

The course reflects the natural beauty of Scotland and has been ranked as high as the 52nd best course in the world in recent years

A prestigious course, it has been written that Cruden Bay has been home to golf as early as 1791, long before the modernisation of the game we see today. The original course, set on the present site was commissioned by the Great North of Scotland Railway and was designed by Old Tom Morris in 1899, sealing its stamp of approval as a top quality course in Scotland.

Cruden Bay comes with a glowing reputation as a picturesque and challenging round of golf and is a great addition on your next Aberdeen golf holiday.
