Golf de Rigenee
The Golf de Rigenee is another superb course in the Brussels and Waterloo region offering 18 unique holes in beautiful surroundings. Built in the 1980s and designed by Paul Rolinon, Golf de Rigenee is one of the oldest courses in Waterloo and one of most captivating when it comes to scenery.
It may not be the most challenging course in the area but it offers an exclusive round in a luxurious settings, along with a warm welcome. The layout is fairly flat, boasting wide fairways making it a great first course on your next golf holiday and perfect for beginners looking to improve their swing.
At a Par 73, the course comprises of large bunkers and numerous water hazards as you make your way through the course. These attributes are even more dangerous when the breeze comes into play across the Belgian countryside.
The terrain is constantly being maintained and evolved with ponds, bunkers, greenside amendments to improve the style of play.
The long fairways stretching across the Waterloo landscape provide a beautiful parkland course. Beware, the course is not as straightforward as the 1st and 18th suggest. The Par 5s are tailored to suit those heavy hitters and are quite some distance from the tee box.
