Originally established in 1993 as the Banyan Tree Golf Club and comprehensively redesigned in 2014 by Paul Jansen, Laguna Golf Phuket is an 18-hole, par 71 championship course measuring approximately 6,756 yards from the back tees. The redesign modernised the layout while retaining its mature tropical setting and integrated resort character.
The course winds through gently undulating terrain shaped by lagoons, waterways and palm-lined fairways. Water hazards influence play on several holes, rewarding good course management and positional play rather than outright power. While it presents a strategic challenge, the layout remains enjoyable and playable for a wide range of handicaps, making it particularly well suited to golf groups and mixed-ability parties.
