About Red Mountain Golf Club
Opened in 2007 and designed by Jonathan Morrow, Red Mountain Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 championship course measuring approximately 6,781 yards from the back tees.
Built across the rugged terrain of a former tin mine, the layout makes full use of striking elevation changes, exposed red rock faces and jungle-covered hillsides to create one of the most visually distinctive courses in southern Thailand.
The course presents a more demanding test than many of Phuket’s flatter resort layouts. Tee-shot positioning is important to navigate sloping fairways and gain the correct angles into well-protected greens. Several holes incorporate carries and risk-reward decisions, adding strategic interest throughout the round. The signature par-3 17th, played across a dramatic ravine, is one of the most photographed holes in Thailand.
Despite its challenge, multiple tee options ensure the course remains playable for a range of handicaps. Conditioning is consistently strong, and the modern clubhouse, driving range and practice facilities support both leisure golfers and organised golf groups including Red Mountain as part of a Phuket golf holiday.
