Course Info
The two courses here, both the Balcomie Links and Craighead Links, offer a great traditional Scottish links layout and boast a superb course option just outside of St Andrews, along the rugged East coast of Scotland.
Designed by the American course architect Gil Hanse, Craighead Links is just as popular as its older sister Balcornie. The course has utilised the cliff top environment to maximum effect and has incorporated the remnants medieval walls which date back to yonder year. This second course at Crail was proudly opened in 1998 and completed the two cracking course offering, which are completely different in style and nature.
The Craighead Links is the longer of the two, stretching out at 6,250 yards and offers stunning seascapes throughout your round. The course offers a diverse range of holes and the ability to play off the different tees creates a unique challenge, which is playable again and again. Golfers with all abilities will find this layout truly spectacular, with elevated tee boxes and awe inspiring coastal views.
A true Scottish welcome and traditional clubhouse accompany this fantastic links layout, making Crail Golfing Society and the Craighead Links a splendid round on your Scotland golf tour.
