El Rompido South
The El Rompido South offers a fantastic round of golf set on two distinctive sets of nine holes. Due to the contrast in nature of the two loops, golfers here are provided with a varied round of golf that will keep them on their toes throughout. With stunning sweeping views, a variety of hazards and several memorable holes, at the El Rompido South, you are set to have an unforgettable round of golf.
The two loops of nine at the El Rompido South differ drastically in the technique they demand as well as the landscape they are set on. However, the quality of the golf they offer remains consistent across this stunning golf course. The El Rompido South is known for its wide greens which are widely considered to be among the fastest in Andalusia. Due to its flat landscapes, a golf buggy is not necessary, and the course is easily walkable. The success of the El Rompido South resulted in another fantastic golf course being constructed just next door, the El Rompido North.
The front nine holes may be short in length; however, players must not be deceived as the greens here are very narrow in areas meaning accuracy is demanded throughout. Long hitters will be able to revel in the back nine with wide greens and stunning coastal views. However, due to the open fairways and its coastal location, the wind frequently comes into play here to send shots wayward.

The El Rompido South is uniquely set across both parkland landscapes and marshland, creating a fantastically varied round of golf. A memorable feature of the front nine includes the transition from the 8th to the 9th hole where players must cross a mass of protected marshland, full of natural wildlife including migratory birds and crabs. The architects of the El Rompido South have perfectly integrated the course’s natural landscape into the fantastic golf course that stands today, with all of its original fauna, flora and wildlife to create an unforgettable round of golf.
Some of the most memorable holes at the El Rompido South includes the 370 yard-long 3rd and 600 yard-long 5th holes on the front set of nine. These two par 5s are widely considered to be among the best holes across the golf course due to the marsh land lining the entire length of the right side of the fairway, creating a unique and unforgettable challenge.
