The Emporda used to offer four loops of nine, however recently the Green and Red loops were divided from the other two in order to create the Emporda Links golf course. The golf course does not feature much greenery or forestry with wide and open fairways, typical of a British links golf course design. Golfers here must not be lured into a false sense of security with the seemingly generous fairways; the Emporda Links is known for its fast and narrow greens. However, unlike a typical links-style golf course, the Emporda Links features many large water hazards to capture any wayward shots.
A signature hole at the Emporda Links golf course includes the final 18th hole which plays to a par of 5 and measures out to 505 yards from the back white tees. At this last hole, golfers will find every aspect of their game challenged as they must play with the perfect balance of accuracy and length. They must manoeuvre their shot through two huge lakes with a slight dog leg to the left in order to reach the well-bunkered green.
