Fancourt – Outeniqua

The "Men's" Springbok marker tees are 6546 yards compared to 6916 yards on the adjoining Montagu course demonstrating this as the shorter course. As you would expect what these two courses have in common is superb conditioning, and fast-paced firm greens which put a focus on your short game.

A round at the Outeniqua begins in front of the outside deck of Monet’s restaurant so be prepared to play to an audience. This opening undulating hole, a short par 4, gives a solid impression of what lies ahead. The water hazards on 11 of the holes need your consideration and the challenge of a well bunkered course from tee to green will punish any wayward shots. The Outeniqua, unlike the Montagu, only returns to the clubhouse after 18 holes. However, there is a separate halfway house to ensure you are refreshed mid-round.

Since opening in the early 90's, Fancourt’s Montagu and Outeniqua Golf Courses have matured and developed into two of the finest 18-hole parkland layouts in the country ranked 8th and 17th in the country. A round on either is a special experience, sculpted and finished as they are, with rare attention to detail and designed with the coastal George winds in mind.
