A history of Costa Navarino...
The region was chosen with golfers in mind. Greece had not previously been thought of as a golfing destination but a businessman, by the name of Captain Vassilis Constantakopoulos, decided that he wanted to change that. He bought the land that now makes up the Costa Navarino golf resorts and courses and has thus created one of the most renowned golfing destinations in Europe.
Where to stay in Costa Navarino?
Currently there are four hotels to choose from, The Westin Resort, The Romanos Hotel, Mandarin Oriental Costa Navarino and the W Costa Navarino.Which Hotel should I choose?
All hotels are on the same resort and have shared access to the resort’s main facilities such as the swimming pool, the square, waterpark, bowling alley & beach club and the spa and fitness centre. Each offers the height of luxury and have exceptional service levels throughout. All of the hotels in Costa Navarino will cater to your needs, and it really comes down to personal preference and availability that will determine where you stay.Can I access the golf courses from these hotels?
Yes, there are free shuttles from the hotel reception to all courses. The Dunes Course is walkable from the hotels, but you can get a lift to the clubhouse from the reception which takes about 2 minutes. The Bay Course is a 10 minute transfer and both The Hills Course and The Olympic Course are a 15 minute transfer. All of which can be taken care of on the free, modern, clean and stylish shuttle services.FAQs

The Dunes Course
The Dunes Course opened in 2010 and was designed by Bernhard Langer. It has had the most time to mature and as such is the most established of the 4 courses. With undulating fairways, views out to sea and greens that role fast and true, this is the championship course that definitely warrants a visit.The Bay Course
The Bay Course is a favourite here at Golf Escapes, it is shorter than The Dunes but a little tighter. As the name suggests this course is built along the bay and therefore a number of the holes are situated just yards from the sea; whilst others are situated on higher ground, looking down over the course and out at the stunning turquoise water of the Mediterranean Sea.The Hills Course
The Hills Course is arguably the best course of the four however, any of these courses could be deserving of that title depending on who you ask. Holes 11 to 17 on The Hills Course could be considered as the best finishing stretch of golf in all of Europe. This is another Championship course and does measure fairly long from the tips at 6865 yards. When playing this course you are at one with nature with views out over the hills for miles around.The Olympic Course
The Olympic Course is serviced by the same beautiful clubhouse as The Hills Course. This course is a little tighter than the Hills but is more scorable with some shorter par 4’s and stunning par 3’s. The biggest take away from this course however, is the views of the bay. You are up high over the bay and can see the resort in its entirety, with the back drop to the holes around the turn being out of this world.
