La Cala – Europa Golf Course Holidays

La Cala is kept in spectacular condition, with views of the Mediterranean sea and Sierra de Ojen that compliment the stunning course. It is no surprise that this is one of the most requested courses on the Costa del Sol.

Europa has the same features as its sibling courses, with elevated tees, rolling fairways, big undulating greens, but is a little friendlier for the average golfer. The fairways are wider and the penalties for wayward shots are generally not as severe.

The course is noted for it’s bridges over the River Ojen throughout the course and it has tunnels for buggies. Europa is not quite as hilly as Asia or America, but you still need to be fit enough if you are going to walk it.

Everything ran like clockwork, thanks to Golf Escapes.

La Cala Golf Resort, Spain, was just about the perfect venue for our latest golf trip. Just back at my desk after a four day trip. Everything ran like clockwork, thanks to Golf Escapes. The hotel, the spa and most importantly the three golf courses at La Cala were excellent. Each hole seems to have fantastic views and nearly every hole has a wow factor. I'm not sure who decided to design a golf course on such a plot of land but I'm glad they did. This might be the first place we will be returning to.

We had a great time.

Hotel, transfers & courses were very good. Our golf could have been better. My friend will be taking the reins for next year’s trip. We may extend by one day. Lauro was the easiest, Chaparral was fantastic but a bit tough for some of our higher handicappers. Torrequebrada was probably our favourite. Hotel was excellent. Staff & food/drink were good. The shuttle company were excellent.
