Langeleed Course at Koksijde Golf ter Hille
Located in the traditional seaside town of Koksijde is the beautiful rural golf course at the Koksijde Golf Ter Hill Golf Club. This course was established purely on the mayor’s instruction to build a golf course so prestigious that people will visit the area solely to challenge its greens, and it is fair to say that this has been achieved. Measuring 6981 yards from the back tees, this fantastic course invites golfers to play its testing greens all year round.
The newly built Langeleed golf course is now one of the finest courses in the country. Designed by Jeremy Perm, the general flat land in the North West has been sculpted to create contoured fairways and deep bunkers to make it even more challenging, as well as eleven water hazards ranging from small duck ponds to Scottish Lochs. Consequently there are only five holes where players can keep their ball dry; it is not an exaggeration to say each and every player must bring their A game when taking on this course! The course is in an ideal location to task your hand in a round of golf whilst taking an enjoyable break en route to Bruges.

The player must anticipate rolling fairways with high rough and deep bunkers situated on the sloped and contoured greens. Due to its dry grass on the greens, it is common for the course to be used in the winter months. The strong sea winds carried over by the North Sea just intensifies this challenge. The front nine holes gradually increase in difficulty, starting with a lengthy and leisurely par 5 and a shorter par 3. The 3rd hole is particularly notable due to its narrow nature; it measures a mere 337 metres with two daunting water hazards lying either side of the fairway. However the challenge does not end there; the 4th hole demands that players overcome a long dog leg to the right around a large Scottish loch.
The Langeleed club house is a particularly notable feature of this course, with its beautiful classic cottage architecture perfectly conveying the local style. Furthermore, the training facilities at the Koksijde Golf ter Hille have been described as unbeatable. They include a 30 bay driving range, a chipping zone, putting green and a full size croquet lawn. Players are also invited to fine-tune their game at the par-32 9 hole academy course. The Langeleed golf course is well worth a visit for a challenging yet unforgettable round of golf.
