North Berwick Golf Club

The West Links at North Berwick Golf Club is located on the Firth of Forth and boasts incredible sea views out across to Craigleith Island and Bass Rock. This is one of the oldest courses in the world that is still playing on its old fairways.
This firm, fast and classic out-back links course is full of quirkiness and creativity that only a small handful of courses possess and one which would not be built nowadays. Although the original architect is unknown, the course boasts a brilliant collection of holes and many of them have been replicated in the designing of other courses around the world. The course boasts an antiquated charm with walls, burns, yawning bunkers and breathtaking views out across the Forth estuary and to sea. Although most of the course is flat and there is very little penal rough to contend with, there are some hazards along the course which can damage your scorecard including walls in the middle of the fairways, deep fairways and blind shots. This is a challenging and brilliant championship links course with some spectacular views and is well deserving as its status of being one of the oldest and best courses in the world.
