The course opened to golfers in April 2023

Ombria Golf is the latest addition to the Algarve’s immense collection of golf courses, and it becomes the first course to open in the Algarve in over a decade. The course is located just outside the town of Loulé, which is less than 30 minutes from Faro Airport, making this an extremely accessible course for those looking to try something new within the Algarve. The 18 hole course meanders through the hills north of Loulé, the course was built with nature in mind with as much of the natural surroundings untouched, which help to produce breath taking views throughout the round of golf.

Ombria is an 18 Hole, Par 71 course that plays 6343 yards. The design of the course was made with accuracy being paramount, as the tight undulating fairways & strategic bunkers will give any level of golfer a few dilemma’s over shot selection. Golfers will also have to navigate the twisting rivers & streams throughout the course, making the 18 holes a constant battle between knowing when to play it safe, or when to go for the hero shot, in order to gain the advantage over your opponent.

The tremendous new Ombria Golf course is now open and we can report that the course is in excellent conditions and is a joy to play. If your looking for something fresh or the ultimate challenge within the Algarve, then Ombria should definitely be on your radar for your next Golf Escape.
