This really is a magnificent course that is not to be missed on your next golf break in the Costa Brava. With immaculately kept greens, an astounding reputation and a stern test of golf, it comes as no surprise that the Stadium PGA Catalunya has received the attention it deserves.
The Stadium golf course opened in 1999, and soon after, its impeccable quality was recognised. It received tremendous acclaim after hosting a successful 2000 Spanish Open, and since then, its popularity has skyrocketed. Over the years, the Stadium golf course came to be recognised as one of the finest golf courses in Europe.
This golf course is not for the faint hearted with a very long and hilly landscape; it certainly is not walkable, and a buggy is strongly recommended! Despite the invigorating challenge it bears, there are five sets of tees for each hole, meaning most golfers can appreciate a fantastic round of golf here. Furthermore, the range of tee options is also perfect for those looking for a shorter round of golf.

Golfers will be kept on their toes throughout with numerous strategically placed water hazards and a naturally undulating terrain. With new challenges around each corner, the PGA Catalunya Stadium golf course is loved, feared and respected by all who have played it. The golf course is currently ranked number one in Spain, number three in continental Europe and seventy-seven worldwide!
Not only is the Stadium golf course home to a stern test of golf that is sure to challenge each and every aspect of a player’s game, but it is also home to a truly stunning landscape. The golf course stretches out to over 6,500 metres of beautiful landscape with its greens kept in immaculate condition throughout the year. Trees and lush greenery are abundant across the golf course, consisting of fir trees, scrubs and purple heather that line each hole.
Golfers are thrown right into the deep end at the first hole on the course. They must shoot with the perfect balance of precision and length in order to land on an elevated green that can only be reached through a sharp dogleg to the left. Another signature hole includes the par four, 437-metre-long 9th hole. This is the longest par four on the golf course and arguably one of the most challenging with huge undulations and strategic bunkering.
