Total luxury with Rovos Rail - Golf Safari
Rovos Rail has designed a superb 10 day golf safari with which to entertain the most discerning player including optional excursions for non players.
The train departs Pretoria northwards to Sun City adjacent to the Pilanesberg National Park before turning east to the historical KwaZulu Natal and Drakensberg escarpment and continuing onwards towards Durban.
Your journey then takes you northbound, skirting along the scenic Indian Ocean coastline before heading back inland to the landlocked Kingdom of Swaziland. The itinerary’s final visit is to the famous Kruger National Park, home to a multitude of African wildlife, before returning to Pretoria.
The train suites range from the Royal Suites at 172 sq feet, through to the Pullman suites at 76 sq feet. There are a range of activities to suit non-golfers. The courses played are: Lost City at Sun City/Gary Player, Champagne Sports Resort, Durban Country Club/Beachwood, Royal Swazi & Highland Gate. Plus Leopard Creek (optional extra) – some of the top courses in South Africa.
To ensure a great golfing experience we have a hands-off approach to the golf, so golfers arrive at the club and everything is taken care of: timesheets, scoring, pairings and logistics – all hosted by our on-board Golf Pro.
