Santana Golf Course
Santana Golf is an 18 Hole golf course located in the Mijas region of the Costa Del sol, Spain. This Par 72 course which stretches 6788 yards in length, is set in 138 acres of picturesque parkland.
Architect Cabell B. Robinson designed this magnificent course with wide and defined fairways on flat terrain which makes Santana easily walkable. Hazards play an important part in the overall design with plenty of water on some of these tricky holes, which have claimed many golf ball over the years.
The course is ranked among some of the best in Spain, & Santana consistently features in Spain's Top 100 Golf Courses list. With the pedigree of some of the best courses in the world residing in Spain, it just shows the calibre of this course to be placed highly alongside them.
A signature hole of this course would be the long Par-4 18th, it is one of the most demanding finishing holes along the coast according to Architect Cabell B. Robinson, with a lake running alongside the right hand side of the fairway, so be wary off the tee. Then golfers are faced with a narrow approach to the green, which is very undulating with a sloping front portion of the green that leads back to the fairway. that will catch out many players if they don't land this shot with accuracy to the flat back portion of the green.
