Sueno Dunes

  • The perfect complement to the Sueno Pines course, the Sueno Dunes is much shorter and easier than the Pines course, ideal for golfers of all handicaps. The Sueno Dunes offers golfers the best of both worlds; a round of traditional golf on an interesting layout. This is a popular golf course that players enjoy time and time again, therefore it does not come as a surprise that many would consider the Sueno Dunes to be an essential item on any golf break in Belek.

Whilst the Sueno Dunes offers a classic round of golf, by no means is it boring. This par 69 golf course carries many of the same characteristics in most of the golf courses in Belek, such as pine forests, however there are still many challenges along the way to keep golfers on their toes. Like the name suggests, the designer of the Sueno Dunes made clever use of the landscape’s original terrain and incorporated an invigorating challenge. The clever use of the natural sand dunes has created a very unique layout with some spectacular views. Whilst the Sueno Dunes is shorter in length compared to its sister course, the Sueno Pines, it still demands a round of strategy and skill.

Although the course is still set amongst a backdrop of pine trees, the Sueno Dunes is much more open than the Pines course, with sand ridges that run through the course providing a links feel to the layout. The golf course’s hazards are predominantly characterised by sand and water, as well as several waste bunkers and island greens. Despite the Sueno Dunes being a golf course that welcomes players of all handicaps and skillsets, it is still fair to say they should come prepared! Combine the hazards here with the demand for some shorter approaches, golfers are set to have a fantastic round of golf.

A signature hole at the Sueno Dunes golf course includes the final 342-metre-long 18th hole. This par-4 is widely considered to be the most challenging due to the lack of visibility towards the green. The 18th is a great finishing hole, however it threatens to undo a steady scorecard. Golfers should not be lured into a false sense of security with the demand for a straight drive as they must manoeuvre their shot across a water hazard to the island green. Players have been known to misplace a few balls in the water here, so be sure to bring a few spares.
