Terre Dei Consoli was opened in 2016 and is a 45 minute transfer from central Rome. It is a championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr. It is set in the Mosterosi valley and the course winds its way through the undulations of this incredible landscape.
From the tips this course measures 7529 yards and is a real test for any golfer, but do not worry as they have 7 levels of tee box to suit all kinds of golfer. This is a reflection of the golf club's ethos, their mission is to encourage everyone to play golf and they do their best to be inclusive of all. One of the ways they do this is by having a 9 hole “family course” which is kept in the same condition as the championship course but is a more forgiving layout.
They have recently finished a fantastic new club house which is a lovely place to sit back and take in the surroundings with views of the course from the veranda, including the perilous 9th hole which looks innocuous enough on the card at 137 yards from the back tee however this is to an island green. You will need to have your wits about you to find the green here and make sure you take the wind direction into account or you may find your ball going for a swim.
Terre Dei Consoli is a Bermuda grass golf course and as such changes dramatically in appearance depending on the time of year that you play. There are some absolutely fantastic views of the distant snow capped mountains and some dramatic tee boxes set up high giving you panoramic views of the region. You will have your camera out regularly trying to do justice to the beautiful setting you find yourself in. No photo will compete with actually playing here and that is what we recommend that you do.
