The course blending effortlessly into its surroundings and is nestled in the rolling hills and tall sand dunes. One of the great things about Salinas de Antigua golf course is that it is just ten minutes’ drive from Fuerteventura Airport which means that you can easily fit in that extra round of golf either before officially starting your holiday or before you jet back home. This is a superb holiday course and although it isn’t an overly long course, a round here is perfect for your next golf break to Fuerteventura because everyone can enjoy a round here and it will still test those who take on the course from the back tees.

One of the benefits of playing here at Salinas de Antigua is that the round is a fairly flat one which means that there is no need to hire out buggies as you can easily walk around and enjoy the nature surrounding the course at slower speeds!

When the wind is blowing here, you are offered some protection from it by the rolling hills and sand dunes but it will still affect your course of play and may even force you into the rough. The rough at Salinas de Antigua is made of volcanic ash which means that it is very difficult to get out of but you are offered an iron by the golf club in order to get your ball out without ruining your club.

A particularly impressive hole here at Salinas de Antigua is the risk-reward 11th hole which is a fantastic par-4 which will test your ability to play the hole strategically whilst deciding whether to risk trying to avoid the lake or not.

With four lakes, volcanic ash, the prevailing wind and narrow fairways in places to contend with there is no doubt that this course can be a challenge in certain playing conditions but a round here is the perfect way in which to round off your next golf holiday to the stunning, little island of Fuerteventura.
