Situated at the foot of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, in Marrakech, Morocco. Amelkis Golf Club was designed by the famous Cabell B Robinson and opened in 1995. The 27 holes at the Amelkis Golf provide an unforgettable challenge, and is a must play whilst golfing in Marrakech.
It is fair to say that Cabell B Robinson was successful in his aims when designing this course to offer an experience like no other to all of its players. The 27 holes stretch an impressive 11,655 yards, with the course capable of hosting large professional tournaments. The Course features 7 large lakes & wide open american style fairways, so it comes as no surprise that Amelkis Golf is widely considered to be one of the best in the Marrakech region.

The fairways are lined with century old palm trees, giant papyrus reeds and luxurious villas. The back nine holes are dominated by a number of tough and strategically placed water hazards, and these come into play especially on the 489 yard 15th hole. This golf course is a challenge for any golfer regardless of their handicap and skill level, due to the numerous water features and spacious bunkers.
A signature hole of the course includes the double dogleg Par 5 - 6th hole. This magnificent hole features a dipped terrain that bears to the right, with then a further sharp dogleg left, alongside an impressive 200-yard long bunker that engulfs the left hand side of the hole. The placement of this bunker is strategic to say the least, as it acts as a buffer between the fairway and large lake lining the green.
