  • The Vineyard Hotel
  • The Vineyard Hotel is a beautiful, 200 year old property set in 6 acres of wonderfully landscaped gardens on the Liesbeek riverbank in Newlands. The hotel offers stunning views of the world famous Table Mountain and is undeniably an excellent choice for your next golf break in the Western Cape.

Day 3
Clovelly Country Club
  • The Vineyard Hotel
  • Clovelly Country Club
  • Clovelly Country Club is best described as a moderate length (Par 72, 5 531 yards off the club tees) but rather tight course that needs accuracy. The layout is one of water hazards to challenge you and set among the sand dunes, again we emphasis that accuracy rather than length will pay dividends. There are a number of spectacular tee shots such as the 1st and the 10th that both play from elevated tees into the valley and challenge you with 90 degree dog legs.

Day 4
Royal Cape Golf Club
  • The Vineyard Hotel
  • Royal Cape Golf Club
  • Over more than 100 years the golf course at Royal Cape has evolved into what it is today, a classic parkland course that provides a fine test of golf as well as a wonderful playing experience. The course (Par 72 – 6,131 yards off the back tees) is fairly flat, tree lined with narrow fairways and is in superb condition year round, with well grassed fairways, smooth greens and challenging bunkers. Numerous ponds and lakes play their part in making a round at the Royal Cape a challenging yet enjoyable experience.

Erinvale Estate Hotel & Spa
  • Erinvale Estate Hotel & Spa
  • Steeped in tradition and surrounded by the stunning Hottentots Holland Mountains, is the splendid 4* Erinvale Estate Hotel & Spa. Day 6
Erinvale Golf Club
  • Erinvale Estate Hotel & Spa
  • Erinvale Golf Club
  • The Erinvale Golf Club is thought of as one of the best courses in the Western Cape Province.  The layout is made from two distinct and different loops of nine which offer two different rounds of golf. The first nine is set on the relatively flat lower part of the estate, whilst the back nine is positioned on a high and undulating landscape where the beautiful views unfold before you.

Day 7
De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate
  • Erinvale Estate Hotel & Spa
  • De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate
  • The mixed parkland and woodland course (Par 72 – 6,369 yards off the back tees) surrounded by the vines was designed by Peter Matkovich, who also designed Prince’s Grant and Arabella, provides golfers of all standards with a challenge where accuracy is generally more important than length. Warm up golf balls are complimentary. The clubhouse is of the typical white Cape Dutch style overlooking the Blauuwklippen River and the Stellenbosch Mountains and is the perfect place to relax after your round with a glass (or bottle – depending on how you played) of the local produce.

Fancourt Hotel
  • Fancourt Hotel
  • Fancourt is widely considered to be one of South Africa’s top leisure resorts, set in the heart of the stunning Garden Route. This 5* hotel with 4 golf courses on-site, all surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Western Cape, will certainly be an excellent choice for your next golf break.

Day 9
Outeniqua Golf Course
  • Fancourt Hotel
  • Fancourt – Outeniqua
  • A round at the Outeniqua begins in front of the outside deck of Monet’s restaurant so be prepared to play to an audience. This opening undulating hole, a short par 4, gives a solid impression of what lies ahead. The water hazards on 11 of the holes need your consideration and the challenge of a well bunkered course from tee to green will punish any wayward shots. The Outeniqua, unlike the Montagu, only returns to the clubhouse after 18 holes. However, there is a separate halfway house to ensure you are refreshed mid-round.

  • Fancourt Hotel
  • Fancourt – Montagu
  • Since opening in the early 90’s, Fancourt’s Montagu and Outeniqua Golf Courses have matured and developed into two of the finest 18-hole parkland layouts in the country ranked 8th and 17th in the country. respectively.  A round on either is a special experience, sculpted and finished as they are, with rare attention to detail and designed with the coastal George winds in mind.

Gondwana Game Reserve - Conservation Levy
  • Gondwana Kwena Lodge
  • This luxury golf holiday is located in South Africa’s stunning Garden Route region. The Gondwana Kwena Lodge offers guests a unique experience to immerse themselves in all nature has to offer, without having to sacrifice the luxuries you would expect from 5* accommodation.

Gondwana Game Reserve is the only private wildlife reserve in the Southern Cape that has the big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo) free roaming! Additionally, there are a number of antelope species and zebra too!

Morning and afternoon game drives take you into the reserve with experienced rangers who know the terrain well. You’ll have the chance to see lions, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, buffalo, cheetahs and plenty of antelope species. Sightings feel unhurried, and the open vehicles give you great visibility for photography and birdwatching.

Between drives, you can unwind at the lodge, take a dip in the pool, enjoy the views, or simply relax with a drink around the fire. Meals are freshly prepared, and evenings often end with storytelling from the rangers or quiet time under the stars.

Gondwana offers an easy, comfortable introduction to safari life — ideal if it’s your first time, or if you prefer a more gentle, scenic experience rather than long travel distances or early flight connections.
