Ashburnham Golf Club
Ashburnham Golf Course, located a short drive from Llanelli is a prestigious and a fine championship links course in South Wales.
The course has consistently maintained its ranking as one of the top 10 courses in Wales and has previously hosted professional and amateur events including two British PGA Championships, Home Internationals, as well as the qualifying venue for the 2014 & 2017 Senior Open Championship.
Formed in 1904, Ashburnham is one of the oldest golf clubs in the entirety of Wales. Redesigned by James Braid, Ken Cotton & Co, the course features a treacherous rough, diverse elevation changes and well placed pot bunkers. A classic links course, Ashburnham has all the elements for a superb links track. Not the lengthiest of courses at 6,624 yards, it requires pure accuracy and great control to come through your round unscathed.
The course offers stunning views of the Carmarthan Bay from the majority of the 18 holes and is a pleasure to walk, as much as it is to play.
Ashburnham is a Welsh favourite and would make an excellent round on your next Wales golf tour.
