Penha Longa Atlantic Course

Situated in the gorgeous Estoril coastal region of Portugal. Penha Longa Atlantic Golf Course is set amongst the spectacular rolling hills, lush gardens, and clear lakes of the southern Sintra Mountains. The course is onsite to the Penha Longa Resort & approximately 30 minutes from Lisbon, making this a great option for any Lisbon golf trip.

At this golf holiday in Portugal...

The wonderfully modern clubhouse is separated from the main hotel and overlooks the 1st tee and 18th green, from here you can start to imagine how good this round is going to be. Lunch in this clubhouse is highly recommended, make sure you have this in mind when planning your game.

With the views of the Sintra mountains never far away, the course flows through the cork trees and the lush green fairways and many holes that will serve long in the memory. The front nine highlights are the 3rd and 6th a par 4 and par 5 respectively both come with risk and reward, and also some water to be careful of on the 6th.

The back nine has it all, the 15th par 3 all over water looks straight forward but can be deceiving with the wind and the front of the green can trip you up. Moving to the 16th a good drive is needed to get into the right spot to hit the green, it’s a lot longer than it looks!

Then on to the 18th from the tee you can see the whole resort, the hotel shadowing the clubhouse and the historic monastery to the side, you can see exactly what you need to do, and that is to hit some good straight shots and enjoy the final hole the Atlantic course has to offer.
