Samanah Golf & Country Club

Samanah Golf & Country Club provides a terrific test of golf against a breathtaking backdrop provided by the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. The course was designed by the Nicklaus Design Company, & this desert style course is a firm favourite amongst all those that visit Marrakech on their golf holidays to Morocco.

Due to the unique landscape of the Samanah Golf course and the fabulous challenge it bears, it comes as no surprise that soon after its opening in 2009 it was swiftly awarded International Golf Development of the Year. Widely regarded as one of the best golf courses in the region, this par 72 golf course is a must play on any trip to Morocco. With an impressive five tee off options on offer, the Samanah golf course opens its arms to all golfers of all abilities.

The Samanah Golf Club is home to many signature holes you are sure not to forget, and one of which includes the short par 4 6th hole, which boasts an opportunity to utilise your skill set and score a birdie. However, the spacious water hazard lining the right-hand side of the narrow green may hinder your chances.

Furthermore, the par 3 8th hole boasts an interesting landscape, with the golfer forced to play across a large area of sandy waste and scrub to a tilted green. The best hole on the back nine is most likely the 15th, where the approach shot must be long enough to carry across a wide gully situated a hundred yards away from the green.
