Golf Breaks & Holidays in Maspalomas

Situated on the southern coast of Gran Canaria, Maspalomas is well known for its sweeping beaches, warm climate and the famous Maspalomas sand dunes nature reserve.

The resort is home to Maspalomas Golf, an 18-hole par-73 course opened in 1968 and designed by Mackenzie Ross. Set beside the famous dunes and close to the Atlantic coastline, it is a flat and enjoyable layout that is particularly popular for holiday golf.

Just a few minutes away in Meloneras, Meloneras Golf offers a more modern design with wide fairways and several holes running along the Atlantic Ocean. The course provides spectacular coastal views and a slightly more challenging test for visiting golfers.

Within a short drive, golfers can also play Salobre Golf Old Course, opened in 1999 and set in dramatic volcanic terrain in the hills above Maspalomas. The nearby Salobre Golf New Course provides a more strategic layout and forms part of the wider Salobre Golf Resort.

A little further west, Anfi Tauro Golf is widely regarded as one of the island’s finest courses, known for its striking Arizona-style landscape, lakes and championship design.

Away from the fairways, Maspalomas offers plenty to enjoy after a round of golf. The famous sand dunes stretch along the coastline between Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés, while the Meloneras promenade is lined with restaurants, cafés and bars overlooking the sea.
