Elea Golf Club
The Elea Golf Club is a fantastic par 71 golf course, situated in a unique location above the shimmering Mediterranean Sea. This golf course boasts a truly unique landscape and has been meticulously crafted through a dramatic terrain, featuring imposing weathered outcrops of limestone that offer a unique character across the course. Widely considered to be among some of the best golf courses in Cyprus, the Elea Golf Club is sure to provide you with an unforgettable round of golf.
Commenting on his vision for Elea Golf Club, Sir Nick Faldo said: “When we designed the golf course at Elea Golf Club we decided to put the emphasis on thoughtful, rather than big-hitting golf and there are plenty of strategic riddles for the golfer to explore and unravel over all 18 holes.” The Elea Golf Club has many distinctive Nick Faldo features as the fascinating layout circulates through stands of mature carob and olive trees, while the dramatic outcrops of weathered limestone strike a contrast with the deep green of the seaside paspalum grass fairways and semi-rough. Despite being an undeniably challenging golf course with an array of unique hazards along the way, conveniently for the more amateur golfer, they too can experience this fabulous golf course thanks to a range of tee off options.

Golfers at the Elea Golf Club will find all aspects of their golfing skills challenged on this tree-lined open parkland layout. Despite being considered to be an iconic parkland golf course in Cyprus, there certainly is a links feel to many of the holes with generous fairways and Arizona-style areas of wasteland.
The par 4 17th hole is widely considered to be Elea’s signature hole and has been consequently nicknamed ‘’Bobby Jones’’. This course is known for its dramatic bunkering, and at this hole there will be no exceptions. Providing you can swerve past the bunkers in order to stay securely on the fairway, the winning shot will require an ‘’all-carry’’ approach in order to reach over the native greenery to the island green.
The bunkers here have been strategically placed in order to offer a dramatic but fair challenge. Precision, skill, patience and an element of luck is required in order to be successful here, however an unforgettable round of golf is guaranteed. After completing the final hole, you will be greeted by the Elea Clubhouse which sits on a hill, overlooking the course and the sea offering spectacular sweeping views throughout.
