This dramatic and visually stunning course at the world-class Mazagan has already established itself as one of the most prestigious golf courses in Morocco despite its recent opening in 2009. Gary Player has successfully crafted an unforgettable and genuinely intelligent golf challenge for scratch, single and high handicappers alike.
The Mazagan golf course boasts a thrilling layout along the coast next to the impressive Mazagan hotel, and adjacent to a long stretch of a beautiful sandy beach. Fabulous panoramic views are presented through undulating sand dunes as sea breezes drift in from the Atlantic Ocean, creating an invigorating and memorable challenge. This 72 par, 7210 yard (6,593m) course offers players immaculate fairways, perfect greens and minimal rainfall. This is links golf at its best, and Gary Player has succeeded in attracting golfers of all abilities to this fabulous golf course.
This 18-hole golf courses runs adjacent alongside an unspoilt beach, and due to its coastal location, the landscape of the Mazagan follows the many natural contours and low-lying dunes of the original terrain. It is clear here that when designing the course, Player was intent on respecting and conserving the landscape’s natural character which in turn allowed him to create a golf course bearing a unique challenge.

Furthermore, the Mazagan golf course opens its arms to players of all abilities, and disregards their handicap as there are multiple tee off options on offer. Amateur players are further benefitted as many holes on this course boast wide fairways, therefore any wayward shots can be somewhat forgiven.
A signature hole of the Mazagan golf course includes the par 4 440-yard-long 6th hole, which requires uphill play and your full concentration. Here the course’s coastal location comes into play; despite offering stunning views of the ocean, the prevailing winds can be somewhat threatening, especially when trying to carry your tee shot over sand dunes to a fairway containing four strategically placed bunkers. The challenge is then intensified with a long approach shot to be played onto a raised green lined with three deep bunkers. If you fall into these bunkers, you must not be too reliant on any sand saves! Yet the challenge is all made worth it with the breath-taking panoramic views of the coast and course on the putting green.
