Portmarnock Golf Club

Portmarnock Golf Club, redesigned by Bernard Langer, is a rugged Links style course situated on its own sandy peninsula and spreading across over 500 acres.
Formerly owned by the Jameson family and utilised from 1850 as their own private golf course. There is nothing manmade about the Portmarnock Golf Course, with scenic views of the Irish coastline and water located on three sides. The Ireland's Eye can be spotted in the South and, on a clear day, you will be able to witness the Mountains of Mourne in the Northern backdrop. The course is at mercy to the wind and with 2 loops of nine holes you are playing in different directions. The course is just under 7500 yards of natural undulating terrain and with sharp fast greens, it is one to be admired. Bernard Darwin once quoted “Perhaps the outstanding beauty of Portmarnock lies in its putting greens”. An excellent golf course utilising Ireland’s natural landscape.
