Royal St David's Golf Club

The Royal St Davids Golf Club, Harlech is a championship links course of the highest calibre and is consistently ranked in the Top 50 British golf courses and is renowned as the 2nd best course in Wales, falling just short to the superb Royal Porthcawl.
Situated in the spectacular North West Wales, the course has reflected the sheer beauty of the land, creating a magnificent 18 hole links golf course. Established in 1894, the Harlech links has set the bar for a golfing challenge of grandeur and has hosted nearly a large number of prestigious international and national championships.
The course is characterised by its hole variety with its combination of very long and very short Par 4s. Unlike the majority of traditional links courses, Royal St Davids, doesn’t follow the 9 out and 9 in format, meaning the holes face every which way, causing the wind to change in every direction, which can have a great impact in your course strategy. The first holes are fairly flat easing you into your round, until you reach the 13th hole, where the dune land really kicks in.
The breath-taking scenery of the surrounding area and Harlech Castle provide a stunning backdrop, not to mention the course is only separated from the bay of Tremadog and the Irish Sea by a series of sand dunes. Further in the distance you will see the peak of Snowdon and the nearby mountain ranges in the backdrop.
A round at Royal St Davids provides a testing links round and an overall memorable experience, a course well worth the journey on your next North Wales golf tour.
