Flights
International flights arrive into Bangkok and depart from Phuket at the end of the tour, with short internal flights connecting Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket.
Flight Time from the UK
Flights from London to Bangkok take approximately 11–12 hours. Return flights from Phuket usually involve one connection and take around 14–16 hours in total.
Time Difference
Thailand is 7 hours ahead of the UK during winter and 6 hours ahead during British Summer Time.
Currency
The local currency is the Thai Baht (THB). Credit cards are widely accepted in hotels and restaurants, though cash is useful for markets and smaller venues.
Visa Requirements
British passport holders can enter Thailand visa-free for tourism for up to 30 days, provided the passport is valid for at least six months from the date of arrival.
Climate
Thailand has a tropical climate and is warm year-round. The best months for golf are typically November to April, when conditions are drier and temperatures slightly cooler.
Getting Around
Private transfers are included throughout the tour for airport travel and golf rounds, ensuring comfortable travel between hotels and golf courses.
Caddies and Golf Carts
Caddies are compulsory at most golf courses in Thailand and are included with your round. Golf carts are commonly used and may be included depending on the course.
Language
Thai is the official language, though English is widely spoken in hotels, golf resorts and tourist areas.
Electricity
Thailand uses 220V electricity with Type A, B and C plug sockets. UK travellers will need a plug adaptor for most outlets.
