Book a golf holiday to Caparica and visit this traditional Portuguese fishing village and beach resort, undiscovered by foreigners, so everything here is geared up towards locals and Portuguese tourists. The beaches here are arguably the best in the Lisbon area and with the Aroeira courses and Quinta do Peru within 15 minutes you have everything you need on your doorstep.

Fish. If you don't like it, don't go to Caparica! The seafood is fantastically fresh and varied, and you can eat here very cheaply. There are lots of restaurants to choose from, so especially out of the main summer season, you could have the restaurant to yourselves and eat like lords at very reasonable prices

Not a lively resort outside of June - September and the weekends. Costa de Caparica's nightlife is based around beachfront bars, with the odd nightclub open at weekends. Definitely a place for a getaway-from-it-all unless going during the summer holiday when the place is teeming with Portuguese families and surfers.
