About

About Le Golf National - The Aigle

Set alongside the world-famous Albatros Course at Le Golf National, L’Aigle offers a more relaxed and playable round while still sharing the same championship surroundings and excellent facilities.

Designed by Hubert Chesneau, the course was created to suit a wide range of golfers rather than only low handicappers. Fairways are generally more forgiving than Albatros and, while there is still plenty of strategy involved, the layout feels far less punishing from the tee. It is one of those courses where good shots are rewarded, but mistakes usually do not ruin your round completely.

The course flows through gently undulating terrain with mature trees, well-positioned bunkers and consistently strong conditioning throughout. It feels calmer and slightly less intense than Albatros, which is exactly why many golfers enjoy playing it as part of a longer Paris golf trip.

Many visitors choose to combine both courses during the same stay, playing the famous Albatros Course alongside L’Aigle for a really good balance of championship golf and more relaxed holiday golf.

Its location around 40 minutes from central Paris also makes it easy to combine golf with restaurants, sightseeing and evenings in the city, which is a huge part of the appeal of a Paris golf holiday.
