Layout:
An 18-hole, par-72 course stretching out over 7,255 yards. This beautifully scenic course is certainly one for the bucket list, providing a fun challenge for golfers of all levels. Expect strategically placed water hazards and bunkers as well as luscious, tree-lined fairways.
Hazards:
Following a makeover by Dave Thomas in the 90’s the course now has plenty of water to swallow up those errant shots, so make sure you pack a few extra golf balls, you may well need them! Its meticulous design involves tight fairways, perilous bunkers, lakes and fast undulating greens that have challenged some of golf’s greatest players. The Brabazon course is a must play for every golfer, even if its only so you can dine out after following in Steve’s footsteps and having drove the 10th green.
History:
The Brabazon has two of the most iconic and recognisable holes in golf with the 10th & 18th holes, with the latter being the stage for many epic Ryder Cup battles over the years. Who could forget the winning putts by Sam Torrance in 1985 and Paul McGinley in 2002 both of which sealed Ryder Cup victories for Europe.
